What is a two-stage PM VSD compressor?
A two-stage PM VSD compressor compresses air in two separate stages instead of one, delivering noticeably better energy efficiency — particularly at higher working pressures. Between compression stages, oil is injected for cooling, minimizing the temperature rise and reducing the energy lost as heat.
The permanent magnet motor with variable speed adjusts capacity to actual demand, and the closed-loop vector control keeps pressure stable within ±0.1 bar. The combination of two-stage compression and VSD technology results in markedly higher efficiency at the same power compared to single-stage models.
The model range is offered from 30 kW to 400 kW with capacities up to 88.85 m³/min. This makes two-stage models ideal for large industrial facilities, process industries and energy-intensive operations where every kilowatt-hour counts.
