What is an oil-free scroll compressor?

An oil-free scroll compressor uses two interlocking spiral scrolls to compress air without any oil in the compression chamber. This guarantees ISO 8573-1 Class 0 air quality — completely free from oil contamination.

The scroll compression principle delivers inherently smooth, pulsation-free air output with significantly lower noise levels compared to piston or screw compressors. With no oil in the airpath, there is no risk of product contamination, making these compressors essential for pharmaceutical, food processing, electronics, and laboratory applications.

Available from 1.5 kW to 24.3 kW with working pressures of 7–10 bar, scroll compressors are air-cooled and require minimal maintenance. The simple design with few moving parts ensures long service life and reliable operation.
