Adsorption Dryer — Cold Regenerated (16 bar)

Heatless adsorption dryers with regeneration via purge air (12–15% of capacity). Pressure dew point -20°C.

What is an adsorption dryer?

A heatless adsorption dryer dries compressed air to extremely low moisture levels (pressure dew point -20°C) using adsorbents such as activated alumina or molecular sieve. The technology is necessary when ordinary refrigeration drying is insufficient — for example in cold environments, cold storage or processes in the food and pharmaceutical industries where moisture can cause serious quality problems.

The system operates with two towers alternating between drying and regeneration. The heatless variant regenerates the desiccant by using a portion of the already dried compressed air (12–15% of capacity), providing a simple and reliable design without the need for external heating. Inlet oil content below 0.01 ppm is required for optimal performance.

With capacities from 1.2 to 130 m³/min there are models for everything from smaller installations to large industrial systems. The heatless adsorption dryer is the cost-effective choice when a pressure dew point of -20°C is sufficient and operational simplicity is a priority.
