Ilma Receiver Tanks

An air receiver tank stores compressed air and acts as a buffer in the system. It smooths out pressure fluctuations, reduces the load on the compressor, and ensures stable air pressure to connected equipment — which extends the compressor's lifespan and reduces energy consumption.

Tanks are available for working pressures between 8 and 16 bar with pipe diameters from Rp1-1/2 to DN200. A properly dimensioned air receiver tank is a fundamental component in every compressed air system and contributes to smoother operation, fewer start-stop cycles, and better overall system efficiency.

By storing compressed air, the tank can also handle temporary peaks in consumption without the compressor needing to ramp up capacity. This is particularly valuable in workshops with varying demand, automation systems with intermittent consumption, and industrial facilities with pulsating compressed air requirements.
